What’s Happening at Aqua Art Miami?
Jill Krutick Fine Art is partnering with SHIM Art Network at Aqua Art Miami this year! SHIM Art Network will be taking Room 202 at Aqua Art Miami in 2023 to showcase a fabulous lineup of artists from around the world. The event runs from December 6 - 10, 2023 and is located at 1530 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139. Last year we had record attendance and set a new bar for the definition of an art fair. We had fashion shows, pod casts, videos from around the world and a variety of other offerings to individualize the audience’s experiences. We plan to continue our transformation efforts adding AI to the mix and other innovations.
There are two discrete offerings we are making available through Jill Krutick Fine Art:
OPTION ONE. An eco-themed exquisite corpse — open format with no background image — of 49 artist works (size 7 x 7 inches) will be displayed in a square formation. Up to 3 images may be at the exhibition in Miami and also uploaded on Artsy.net. Each artist will select one of their three works to be printed in the exquisite corpse grid displayed at the exhibition (all the originals will be in flat files on location). There is a $40 fee to participate. The works will have uniform pricing at $80 per piece with 70% of the proceeds going to the artist and 30% to Jill Krutick Fine Art. More details are below.
OPTION TWO. A wall of 12 paintings on panel that are eco-themed displayed in a horizontal grid formation. This portion of the exhibit will feature just 12 artists. Up to 3 images may be uploaded to Artsy.net. Two of the paintings must be the same size — 16 x 20 inches, on panel — and will be onsite in Maimi (one displayed on the wall and the other a replacement should the first get sold). The third painting can be any size or price, but will only be digitally available on Artsy.net (this work should not be shipped). We will have uniform pricing of the paintings in Miami to simplify the buying process. The works will each be priced at $500 with 70% of the proceeds to the artist and 30% to Jill Krutick Fine Art. There is a $250 fee to participate. Painting panel purchase required. LINK to panel. There is also a pack of four panels that can be purchased. Jill will be purchasing a couple of packs if any artists want to arrange to stop by her artist/studio and pick up a couple.
Artists may sign up for one or both of these opportunities!

What is SHIM/ArtCard?
SHIM/ArtCard is an exhibition group dedicated to high quality, affordable, small works easily shipped around the world. The goal is to simplify the process of showcasing artwork for both emerging and established artists. To have an exhibition that can literally fit in a lunchbox opens up a world of possibilities. And that is exactly what we aim to accomplish – a world stage for artists. By “meeting” a large pool of talented artists, collectors and curators can easily explore and buy work. Exhibitions will be held online and selective in-person locations. Collaborations among artists make for an even richer experience for all.
In the past couple of years we have had exhibitions in New York City, Westchester (NY), Venice (ITALY), Miami (FL), Bridgeport (CT) and Berlin (GERMANY). Lots of exciting future locations are in the early planning stages. Stay connected to hear about updates!
Submission Requirements ArtCard for Aqua Art Miami…
The size of the work submissions are 7 x 7 inches (including any white space around the work). No framed work will be accepted. Square-shaped work that is smaller than 7x 7 inches will also be accepted. Jill will have 7 x 7 inch-sized Reeves BFK white paper available for pickup by local artists.
Original drawings, photographs, paintings, printmaking, digital prints, and mixed media on paper are welcome. Artists may also submit limited edition prints as one of their offerings.
The work(s) must be relatively flat (no stretched canvas, raised panels, etc.) and be on postcard or any heavy weight paper. Artists are permitted to mount their works on mat boards for stability as long as none are larger than 7x 7 inches.
For exhibition, each work should be individually protected with a well-fitted, clear protective covering so collectors can examine the pieces without harming them. Here is an example of this: Flap Seal Crystal Clear Bags by ClearBags.com.
On the back of the work, please include:
Title of piece, artist's name (both printed and signed), Instagram handle, and
an indication of the top of the work with an arrow (if applicable)
Marketing: All artists need to be on Instagram and follow: @shimartnetwork, @jillkrutickfineartgallery, and @jillkrutickfineart, POST about events and their work and TAG the same three accounts: @shimartnetwork, @jillkrutickfineartgallery, and @jillkrutickfineart. By doing this, we can repost each other’s work and grow everyone’s audience.
