Jill Krutick Fine Art is partnering again with SHIM Art Network — Venice | Mexico City here we go…
Don't miss the opportunity to create or include your original postcard (4 x 6 inches) to be part of an exciting exhibit during the Venice Biennale. Your card will be part of our "Postcards to Venice" exhibit at the Palazzo Pisani Revedin in Venice, Italy, September 3 - November 3, 2024.
NOTE: The "Postcards to Venice" will also include a stop along the way to Mexico City to be exhibited at #Hashtag Gallery from June 8 - June 22, 2024
NOTE: The works will have uniform pricing at US$150.00 for postcards with 70% of the sale going to the artist
If you have participated in any ArtCard activities with me in the past and you know that I still have your work… No need to create new cards (even if they are a slightly different size) for these exhibits. Just resubmit the images, your contact information and pay the $40 participation fee by May 25.
The fee includes both exhibitions (Venice and Mexico City) and because your work is already on Artsy – no additional digital uploads will be necessary.
One of your two pieces will be selected to showcase in the Mexico City gallery. Should it sell, your additional piece will be shipped by me to the Venice show. Otherwise, the piece shown in Mexico City will travel to Venice.
NEW SUBMISSIONS
If you’d like to make new cards or you know other artists who would like to participate -- that’s welcomed too. TWO forms need to be completed. The first captures your vitals. The second is for the upload of images and payment. These new pieces will be uploaded to Artsy and follow the same path as mentioned above. New works will be required to follow the additional instructions on the form when submitted (enhanced post card features on the back of the work).

What is SHIM/ArtCard?
SHIM/ArtCard is an exhibition group dedicated to high quality, affordable, small works easily shipped around the world. The goal is to simplify the process of showcasing artwork for both emerging and established artists. To have an exhibition that can literally fit in a lunchbox opens up a world of possibilities. And that is exactly what we aim to accomplish – a world stage for artists. By “meeting” a large pool of talented artists, collectors and curators can easily explore and buy work. Exhibitions will be held online and selective in-person locations. Collaborations among artists make for an even richer experience for all.
In the past couple of years we have had exhibitions in New York City, Westchester (NY), Venice (ITALY), Miami (FL), Bridgeport (CT) and Berlin (GERMANY). Lots of exciting future locations are in the early planning stages. Stay connected to hear about updates!
NEW Submission Requirements for Venice / Mexico City…
The size of the work submissions are 4 x 6 inches (including any white space around the work). No framed work will be accepted. Reeves BFK white paper recommended.
Original drawings, photographs, paintings, printmaking, digital prints, and mixed media on paper are welcome. Artists may also submit limited edition prints as one of their offerings.
The work(s) must be relatively flat (no stretched canvas, raised panels, etc.) and be on postcard or any heavy weight paper. Artists are permitted to mount their works on mat boards for stability as long as none are larger than 4 x 6 inches.
For exhibition, each work should be individually protected with a well-fitted, clear protective covering so collectors can examine the pieces without harming them. Here is an example of this: Flap Seal Crystal Clear Bags by ClearBags.com.
On the back of the work (left side), please include:
Your Name, Email, Social Handles, Name of your art piece and Other Information.
Marketing: All artists need to be on Instagram and follow: @shimartnetwork, @jillkrutickfineartgallery, and @jillkrutickfineart, POST about events and their work and TAG the same three accounts: @shimartnetwork, @jillkrutickfineartgallery, and @jillkrutickfineart. By doing this, we can repost each other’s work and grow everyone’s audience.
