A few words by Karen Fitzgerald, curator of Critical Watercolor
2022 may perhaps become known as the season of connectivity. Having traversed a period of change and disconnection, many are eager for motility. Anchored as this group is in the dynamics of fluid media, fluctuation and change are natural outerwear. The passages of paint yield a drift in the direction of sensuality, tactility; a tangible feel of the physical. The group's members present a wide range of aesthetics. Contemporary to its heart, this diversity is a strength, and a mirror. It calls us to see who we are; multifaceted, disparate, and assorted. Can we say we reflect all of humanity? Without a doubt. We are change. We are fluctuation. We are in motion.
